The Baltic Culture Fund has announced the results of its 2026 funding round
This year, 300,000 euros have been allocated to international projects bringing together partners from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. You can find the funding results here. Funding has been awarded to seven initiatives, some of which will be coordinated by organizations operating in Lithuania.
This year, the fund received 34 applications. In evaluating the projects, the greatest emphasis was placed on their alignment with the fund’s objectives, equal participation of the three Baltic countries, diversity of artistic fields, the significance of international partners, and the quality of the applications. The selected projects stood out for their ambitious creative ideas, strong content, professional management, and close collaboration in presenting the Baltic countries in prestigious international venues.
The applications were evaluated by six experts—two from each Baltic country. They analyzed the applications submitted in English and selected professional cultural projects from various fields: architecture, design, literature, music, performing arts, and visual arts.
The Baltic Culture Fund was established to promote cultural cooperation among the three Baltic states and to strengthen the international dissemination of their culture. Funding from the Foundation for a single project can range from 25,000 to 100,000 euros, and applicants must ensure a contribution of at least 20 percent from their own resources or other sources. Applications may be submitted by legal entities from any Baltic country, but projects must include partners from all three countries.
