- Kristina Mažeikaitė
Kristina Mažeikaitė, a researcher in cultural policy and an artist, earned her Bachelor's degree in economics from Vilnius University in 2010, followed by a Master's degree in economics with honours (Cum Laude) in 2018. In 2024, she received a PhD in economics from Vilnius University for her thesis, The Impact of Culture on Economic and Social Development. She earned her Bachelor's degree in painting from the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2013, followed by a Master's degree in the same field in 2015. In 2016, she additionally earned a professional teaching qualification from the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
Since 2023, she has been engaged in applied research in cultural policy, working on projects such as the Municipal Culture Index and the Assessment of the Creative and Economic Environment of Artists. That same year, she also began teaching at Vilnius University as a lecturer in the Department of Quantitative Methods and Modelling within the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
From 2017 to 2022, she was employed at the Lithuanian Council for Culture, serving the last three years as the Head of the Division of Monitoring and Analysis. From 2024 to 2025, she served as the curator of visual art residencies at Kintai Arts.
Since 2010, she has been actively engaged in the cultural sector as an artist, organising and curating exhibitions as well as participating in artist residencies.
